Jessica Ransehousen
Jessica's riding accomplishments are many and span several decades. International Competition Highlights Include:

In addition, Jessica rode Gonzales on the 1993 Bronze Medal Team at the Olympic Festival in San Antonio, Texas and continued their success as members of the Second Place team at Dressage at Devon in the CanAm Challenge. In 1999, she was still a top placing competitor, capturing second in the Grand Prix and First in the Freestyle with Usufruct at the Dressage Festival at the Equestrian Estates, Loxahatchee, Florida.
Some of Jessica's greatest moments have been during her role as Chef d'Equipe for the U.S. Team at the World Championships, the Olympics, the Pan American Games and at top International shows. Her legacy includes the 1990 World Championships in Sweden, the 1992 Bronze Team Medal at the Olympics in Barcelona, the 1994 World Championships in Holland. At big International shows like Aachen, Germany, Arnhem in Holland and Hickstead in England, the US Dressage Team won the international Prix of Nations Cup for the first time. Jessica also was Chef d'Equipe for the 1995 Dressage Team at the Pan American Games in Argentina, where her daughter, Missy, was on the Silver Medal Three Day Event Team. In addition, the Dressage Team was the Bronze Medal and Individual Silver Medal winners. In 1996, Jessica was the Chef d'Equipe for the Bronze Medal Dressage Team at the Olympics in Atlanta and also the Bronze Medal Team in Sydney Australia. She continued in her role as the Chef d'Equipe for; The Gold Medal U.S. Dressage Team and Gold Individual Medal at the Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada in 1999, the 2002 Silver Medal US Dressage team at the WEG in Jerez, Spain, the Team Gold Medal at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo and the 2004 Bronze Medal Olympic Dressage Team in Athens, Greece. |
During 2004, Jessica "officially" retired, but her involvement in the sport continued at the highest level as a coach and a FEI judge. In 2009 she served as Interim Chef d'Equipe at the Dressage World Cup in Las Vegas, where Steffen Peters clinched the win for the US team. They continued onto Aachen, Germany as a team, where Steffen won all three Dressage classes, making history as the first American rider to ever do so!
Jessica is an USEF "S" International Judge and was an F.E.I. "I" judge until 2009. Jessica has been involved in judging U.S. Olympic and Pan American trials over the last 30 years. She was the Vice President of Dressage for the United States Equestrian Team (U.S.E.T.) & chairperson of the High Performance Committee until she retired in 2004.
Jessica was honored for her many contributions to the sport of Dressage by being inducted into the USDF's Hall of Fame, as well as being given the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the USEF in 2009! She continues to share her lifetime of knowledge through training dressage clients at Blue Hill Farm in Pennsylvania, and at regional shows.
