TWO NEW IRISH IMPORTS!

Through our friend and supporter Paddy Hughes, BHF has imported two new stunning young horses for the upcoming competition season!

Gary Brit Ike is a 17.2h, 5 year old blood bay gelding who was imported in April of 2011. He is an extremely athletic & striking horse, who despite his size and bone is primarily Irish Thoroughbred. He came from a foxhunting yard in Ireland, and is in training to start his competitive career this winter down in Florida.

Bouncer was imported a few weeks after Ike, and is another large boned Irish TB cross who is 16.3h and 5 years old. He has wonderful confirmation and the sweet face of a welsh pony! He too has been started correctly and will be starting his competitive career during the winter in Ocala.

Both horses will be aimed for Ocala or Rocking Horse.
Critical Decision, known as B.G. (Big Guy) around the farm, is a 1997 Dutch warm blood cross, sired by Consul. Missy purchased B.G. as a 3 yr old and knew he was very special from the start.

Missy has brought him up the levels herself and they are currently competing successfully at the 4* level. In 2007 he competed at Rolex and traveled to France for Pau. In 2008 he returned to Kentucky to claim a 3rd place win at Rolex. In 2009 he started at Rolex and then traveled back to Europe for a successful run at Burghley.

B.G can also be seen in the dressage ring competing at 3rd & 4th level and in February 2009 he was high score 3rd Level at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby! In 2010 he returned again to achieve High Score at 3rd Level and won his 4th Level II class as well! He is a multi-talented horse who is the 2009 Silver Stirrup National Award Champion for Advanced Level 3 Day & 3rd Level Dressage.

Carlingfords Taldi is a 1998 Irish bred, imported from Ireland as a 3 yr old from Paddy Hughes. He evented through the intermediate level with many wins and showed great promise as an upper level horse. Unfortunately in 2006 Taldi foundered. Over the years he has made a remarkable recovery, and is now proving his talent in the Dressage ring.
