Dawn is a training first level dressage student who is currently showing another students's horse. She is an important member of the Blue Hill Farm community. She does a huge amount of helpful jobs, like lasering horses's backs and as a nurse by profession, she helps the riders as well. We love her and we want to keep her with us forever!!!

Trudy and PaddyTrudy Phillips
Boarder/Student since 1997
Discipline: Dressage & Evented previously
Horses: Bally Shannon and Carlingford JD

Bally Shannon, 25 year old, retired,
Irish TB/Connemara Cross.

Trudy has ridden Paddy since he was 5 year old. His career has spanned many years and several disciplines, from Eventing, to being an unlikely FEI dressage mount, to the compassionate Paralympic equine partner. He's probably the oldest horse the USEF has ever issued passport. He's competed for both United States and Canada at Para-Equestrian International Dressage Show.  Both Keith Newerla and Barb Grassmyers competed with Paddy.

Carlingford JD, age 11.  is a skewbald Irish Sport Horse who is now doing 4th level Dressage. Missy found him in Ireland for Trudy as a green 4 year old. He has also, been used by Missy for the para-riders & Elizabeth Pigott competed with him last year.  Laura Goldman will be competing with him at Toronto at the end of May. Her joke with Missy is that she trains them and then Missy steals them!

Trudey has ridden two horses, Lough Aden and Cinzano to Intermediate level Eventing.  Her most recent competition surprise was in June, 2008 when she rode JD in a recognized dressage show (his first time competing at third level) against Missy on BG and Becca Hart  on her horse and they won the class!

Seema & KeeganSeema Sonnad
Boarder since April 2009
Discipline: Eventing
Horse: Keegan

Seema came to Blue Hill Farm to enjoy the beauty of the Unionville area, and have access to the wonderful instruction and facilities, with a specific goal of improving her dressage for eventing. Seema has ridden through the intermediate level in the past and as well as riding, volunteers at many events and is a 'r' eventing technical delegate.

Her current horse is Keegan, an off the track TB that she purchased during the fall of 2011. He is in a steady training program, spending the winter down south & taking part in plenty of clinics! Seema is traveling down to Florida on most weekends while balancing her busy career at Penn. After all their hard work this winter, Seema is looking forward to his first event of the season and to returning to BHF in the spring!

Discipline: Dressage
Horse: Nogales (Noah), 1995 DWB

Danielle and her family first came to Blue Hill Farm in 2001, with very limited knowledge of the equestrian world. But nearly ten years, 2 horses, lots of patience (from Jessica and Missy), and hundreds of shows later, the Blanchard family considers Blue Hill farm home.

In 2009, Danielle was ranked 10th in the nation for Adult Amateur riders competing at FEI Intermediare 1. Today, she continues to train with Jessica and compete at FEI levels.
